But the AMG-GT doesn’t really do it for me.

You’re flying solo there.

Saw one the other day. Back is damn perfection. Front just looks like an SL

Pretty car, but I would be hard pressed to pass up a manual transmission 911 or Stingray to get one.

It doesn’t really do anything for me either.

Nah, I’m kinda with him. For some reason the front doesn’t look quite right to me, like the headlights should be different. It just looks like they took the ones off the C-class and rotated them 20 degrees.

I’m with you. I like the SLS more.
Also, I don’t know why but the new naming scheme really bugs me.

I like the car from a mechanical/driveability aspect. But I find it to be a massive visual letdown compared to the outgoing SLS.

Me neither, this and the new S-Class.

Yeah the SLS looks way better.
Also gullwing.

Really all current Mercedes-Benz’s. They’re just carbon copies of one another.

To be honest, for $150k for a well-specced AMG I’d go for one of these two.

All I see are two Audi R8’s.

In this shot, I think it looks pretty damn good.

You need to see one in person. The rear is very stunning.

To be fair, I think it would be quite difficult for designers to create a successor for the work of art that is the SLS.
Then again, Jaguar managed to take some of the E-type’s beautiful styling cues
And created the F-type which came out looking just gorgeous.

Damnit man. Every time I see an SLS, I need to change my pants.

I think you’re broken.
![]() 04/30/2015 at 20:31 |

Oh what I’d do to have an SLS.
![]() 04/30/2015 at 20:32 |

Me too. The name is even half assed, a lot less effort than what the SLS was IMO.
![]() 04/30/2015 at 20:35 |

It does but I can’t help thinking more vertical lights would’ve made it look even better. It has same problem as the SLK where it looks bug-eyed instead of elegant.

It’s like most high end cars for me, I appreciate it for the impressive vehicle it is, but I don’t find myself drawn to it.

I’m not a huge fan of it either, mostly because the name is stupid. I’m just waiting for when they go full Ferrari and announce the ‘Mercedes AMG GT AMG’.

No you’re not the only one. The back just says “yuck” to me
![]() 04/30/2015 at 23:50 |

This exactly. They just bore me nowadays. Nobody buys them in any color except variations of grey, and they took the photocopier thing to the next level. At least BMW and Audi puts personality into their cars.

I with you. I’ve seen one on the highway a month ago and it looked good but I didn’t have a: OMG reaction. Dynamically, there is no doubt in my mind this thing will never be as good as the Porsche 911. Though it wasn’t a 911 competitor I will for always love the SLS; which the car replaces.
